Is this about antibodies or compliance?

My skepticism began after the “2 weeks to flatten the curve” turned into preventing anyone from ever getting sick or dying again. Here is a tiny sampling on one narrow topic of why I, an educated person with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and over 20 years in healthcare, don’t buy into the rhetoric.

Me: We no longer recognize passive immunity, which is when a person develops immunity by becoming infected, then recovering from something.

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/immunity-types.htm

Them: Oh, no, no. Immunity received the old fashioned way doesn’t last as long as the vaccine.

https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/lasting-immunity-found-after-recovery-covid-19

Me: Wait, why are we still calling it a vaccine anyway? According to the CDC, (please note the use of the word immunity)

“Vaccine: A product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease. Vaccines are usually administered through needle injections, but can also be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose.”

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/imz-basics.htm

Them: It’s not going to be mandatory, conspiracy theorist!

https://www.king5.com/article/news/local/inslee-vaccine-mandate-state-workers-health-care-personnel-covid-delta-washington-emergency/281-66d68fd8-f569-46e2-a94e-c5f56d70911d

Them: That’s not mandatory. You DO have a choice, you can find a different job.

Me: That’s not really a choice though, here is the definition of coercion.

"The intimidation of a victim to compel the individual to do some act against his or her will by the use of psychological pressure, physical force, or threats."

Them: Well, the only way to ‘End Covid’ is for everyone to get immunity from the shot.

Me: That’s just one incident.

https://www.doh.wa.gov/Portals/1/Documents/1600/coronavirus/data-tables/420-339-VaccineBreakthroughReport.pdf

Me: I can see where this is going, soon we will have to have papers to go places. (them: conspiracy theorist!)

https://www.kff.org/coronavirus-covid-19/issue-brief/key-questions-about-covid-19-vaccine-passports-and-the-u-s/

Them: But, the variants!!!

Me: Yes, viruses mutate, and always have. Each new variant will have it’s moment in the spotlight, with more prevalence. That’s how and why they mutate. There will be more…

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5075021/

Them: The delta variant is killing people!

Me: Yes, no doubt, but so have other variants. For perspective look here and play with the data.

https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailytrendsdeaths

Everyone: Hospitalizations are going up!

Me: With people delaying having medical concerns addressed, and avoiding routine medical care last year, combined with Covid, yes, hospitals are super full. Did you know this happens every flu season, and news outlets and the public never cared before? I actually wrote an an entire blog on this point. Except in 2020 there was NO flu season. 😏

Everyone: But there are no beds!

Me: Some places are having to transfer patients, reduce elective surgeries, and frantically search for staff to hire. Some places have beds, but no staff to open the bed.

Them: I see. Let’s fire healthcare workers for not taking the shot.

Them: All of you people should just die then. We have ideas to help. Also, we call kids we don’t agree with names. (Photo is the comment of a teacher in our school district and supporters)

These people should not be anywhere near children. But they are, and this is only one reason to pull your children from public schools. See our archives for more on this topic.

Standing for what is right – for our children

I have become more vocal, it is true. Some people have gone away because they were in my life for a season, or even the wrong reasons. By not hiding who I am or what I think, I have watched some amazing and genuine people come into my circle. I am learning so many things. I have had hard lessons during my life, and one of the important ones is that I can’t worry so much about what other people think of me. That is easier said than done, and I still struggle with this.

When I became a mom after dealing with over 6 years of infertility, I knew I would do anything to protect the life growing inside of me. It was scary. I wanted to eat the right things, do the right things, avoid the wrong things. I didn’t know it then, how much easier it was to protect them before they were born.

Now, when I look at my girls, I know how much more difficult it is to make sure they are going down the right paths. And I know there will be times when they won’t. They are growing up in a world filled with masked faces, conflict, deception, weakness, and uncertain futures. I know this is nothing new, but it is more pungent to me now that I am a mama. There are times I worry about what kind of world we brought them into. But I know that God loves them even more than I do, and that’s saying a lot. He gave them to me, in this moment, on purpose. I cherish my family and will stand up for them.

Reminders of how quickly my girls are growing surround me every day. Their littleness is precious and fleeting. When I hear them talking to each other in the next room and they start giggling together, it fills me with warmth. There are so many emotions, it is hard to describe them all. When I have to discard the next size of clothes as they grow. When I hear them crying in genuine pain or sadness. When I hear, “Mommy!” on repeat – 87 times in a row. When I clean sticky handprints off of windows, or fish petrified chicken nuggets from deep under the bookshelf. When I scrub popsicle and grass stains out of tiny clothes on a summer day. When I calm them down from a case of being too hungry or too tired. When I scrub paint off counters and pick stickers off of walls. When we sing “Twinkle, twinkle” for the billionth time that day. Every job that I do to serve my family, no matter how big or small or tedious or mundane it feels in the moment, is worth it. Someday I will suddenly notice how long it has been since they asked to me kiss a booboo and make it instantly all better. I will ask them if they want me to the next time they get hurt, and they will tell me no. I will realize that I didn’t even know when the last time was the last time. Things will be more complicated to “fix” as they grow. I know there are much more difficult times coming.

Fighting for the world our girls will grow up in is near the top of that list of jobs. I’m not going to stop talking about things that matter to us as a family. I’m not going to stop trying to make changes where I can, even if it feels like I’m fighting a losing battle. I want them to see an example that truth is important, no matter how unpopular it is. I want them to know that they watched their parents stand for what was right, even if it was the more difficult, and sometimes lonely road to take.

These two beautiful girls are why I won’t stop.  They are gifts to me, they are our future.

Public Schools are BROKEN.

There are so many heated discussions lately about public schools. I have hesitated on sharing my thoughts on the matter because I am the type of person who wants to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings. I know many people who work for schools. That attitude does not fix things for my children though, and I can’t sit back and watch what is unfolding go without speaking up. I’m sure there are wonderful teachers in the public school systems, but their voices are alarmingly silent. What are our children facing in schools right now? And what can we do about it?

Teachers as babysitters?

Frequently, the comment has been made by teachers, “I am sick of parents acting like we are babysitters.” This always irritates me. Society has changed in such a way that both parents often have to work to support a family.  Not to mention single parents who are trying to survive.  Society has constructed average business days around our cultural norms.  Schools are a part of our society. Do they think we should be anxiously sitting at home with phone in hand? We have to work to pay the property taxes on the homes we own, so that we can pay them to teach our children. I pay them. You pay them.  As taxpayers, we pay their salaries.  Our property taxes pay for their salaries.  They are not giving a free community service.  Teachers chose this career path, and willingly accept tax payer money to do their job. THEY WORK FOR US.

In this article, there is a video with a school board who thinks they are in a private setting, letting everyone see their real thoughts. One person says, “They want their babysitters back.” Their behavior is incredibly unprofessional. One parent responds:

You told me I have to put my kid in school eight hours a day! That is literally a law; it is a law that my kid has to be in school. And now you’re telling me that the expectation should also be that I am free for all of that time, even though I’m legally required to not have my kid here. So it’s odd that we’ve set up this whole system in which people are required to go to school and then we’re going to be, like, “Well, school’s not your child care.” You told me it has to be!”

School Board Mocks Parents Who Support Reopening: ‘They Want Their Babysitters Back’ – Reason.com

The other part to this article is the pure disdain for a parent who thinks differently than they do. They demean, mock and laugh about parents who are standing up for their right to a public education for their child. They are elected by the public, and their true colors are shameful.

Peer Pressure on children

Let’s take a look for a moment at the actual definition of peer pressure.

Definition of peer pressurea feeling that one must do the same things as other people of one’s age and social group in order to be liked or respected by them”

Peer Pressure | Definition of Peer Pressure by Merriam-Webster

Can you see any peer pressure being placed on you by the school system? Can you see it being placed on your children? What about in society? It is everywhere. It used to be something that children were taught to resist. And now, the very people who have authority over your children in public schools are the worst perpetrators of peer pressure.

They are pressured into taking experimental drugs

It is important to note that the experimental covid shot is a drug It is also important that people understand the difference between an FDA approved drug, and a drug that has been authorized for emergency use. There is a big difference.

They are pressured into early sexualization

They are pressured into keeping secrets

The remote learning circus that arose after Covid was discovered allowed parents an unobstructed view into the classrooms of their children. It was eye opening. Now that parents are aware of the damage being done to their kids, they are waking up and beginning to take action. Teachers do not like the fact that parents are more equipped now to fight for what their children are being taught. One school district had asked parents to sign a form saying they would basically stay out of it.

Kay added his chief concern was “conservative” parents overhearing his discussions with their children.

Sex education is being pushed on very young children. There are instances of secrecy in this type of education. This article discusses how children are taught how to get abortions, and keep it a secret from their parents. It has long been known that children should be taught that secrecy is bad. This helps protect children from grooming by a sexual predator.

Remind your child/tween/teen that if anyone asks them to keep a secret from their parents this is a red flag, bad secret. Exactly the type of secret you need to tell a trusted adult.

What can be done to restore schools to an educational system, and not an indoctrination center?

Run for positions and vote

We are watching the consequences of voting unfold every day. Not voting carries the same weight as voting. The non-voter simply has no say in the outcome. If you know someone who would be a good fit for school board, and they represent your values, encourage them to run! Support them in any way you can, including financially. It costs an unbelievable amount of money to run for elected positions.

Pay Attention

For too long, we have been going about our lives, so busy with the mundane everyday tasks that we had no idea what was festering within our school systems. We must pay attention to the small things. The things we don’t think matter. We should talk with our children, in an open and interested manner. Ask questions, be present, be approachable, be available.

Speak out

Finding the courage to stand up and speak out when you see something wrong can be daunting. It is important, especially when it comes to children who do not yet have these skills. They will try to shame you, silence you, and make it inconvenient. Do it anyway. Set an example, and be strong for your little ones.

Transparency and cameras

Our police officers are now wearing body cameras to document their work. Police officers are held accountable for how they treat our community members and loved ones during law enforcement encounters. We demand transparency from our officers.

We have cameras now in most daycare centers who care for our beloved babies.  Many places allow parental access to cameras.  They send home slips about what they did that day.  There is open communication. We demand transparency for our babies.

Why, then, do we not demand the same transparency with our precious children in the school system? Teachers have private access to our kids during the most vulnerable stages of their developmental cycles. As parents, it is our job to protect them. It is OUR job to teach them. If we decide to use public education to carry out our task, we should be very well versed on what we are allowing into the heads of our children.

My family is leaning toward a homeschool education for our children who are currently 4 and almost 2. There is a Homeschool Resource Center in our area that is a fantastic place to have children attend supplemental classes and activities. We took our 4 year old for some classes this term to try it out. One thing I quickly noticed is that there are signs telling people that there are cameras in every room, and it is recorded. They also ask that a parent to stays on site while the child is in a class. They allow parents to be as involved as they wish. The transparency is comforting and fosters a good relationship.

I believe all public schools should have cameras in the classrooms. Parents should be allowed to access them, and also view curriculum in its entirety when requested. We have put too much trust, and given too much responsibility to government run educational facilities than ever should have been given.

Homeschool

Pull your children out of public education until this is resolved. Do not expect little ones to be the “salt and light” that the world of public education needs right now. For all of the above reasons and more, they can’t fight the pressure alone. If you think you are scared speaking out at a school board meeting, try to picture your little one standing up to a teacher and a bunch of peers. This is the front line of the battle, and they are not equipped. But even if you homeschool, don’t stop fighting for the public schools. There are children that don’t have parents willing or able to fight for them for many reasons.

If you are considering homeschooling, but it feels overwhelming, there are many ways and many resources on how to create a homeschool environment that works for your family. Teach them things. Teach them educational things. Teach them beautiful things. Teach them funny things. Teach them life lessons. Teach them the gospel. It is our job. This does not mean we have to be the only ones ever teaching our children, but we are ultimately responsible to vet the people and material they are being exposed to. We should monitor their growth, pay attention, and take action to change things when it is needed.

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

Deuteronomy 6:7

Put God back into our lives

Every time we remove the Lord from a place, something else will fill the void. And it will not be Godly. It will not be good. People are searching for an ideal world that can only be found when we get to heaven. This ideal world cannot exist on earth because it is a broken place filled with us as sinners… for now. That does not mean we shouldn’t try to make it a better place, but it does mean we will not succeed at making it a perfect place. To finally reach the ideal place, we must keep our eyes on God.

Do not be conformed to this world,3 but be transformed by dthe renewal of your mind, that by testing you may ediscern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2

If we don’t stand up for our children, and put them on the correct the pathway to their future, someone else will guide them to a path of their choosing. Our children are our responsibility, our gift, and we should be strong for them.

Wisdom is better than folly

I was thinking about the word “wisdom” a few days ago and decided to look up some scriptures that discuss the topic.  Lately, it seems wisdom is something that is absent from much of society.  My search took me to Ecclesiastes, chapter 8.  I wanted to go through a few verses that stood out to me.

Wisdom Better Than Folly

Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, not riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all.

Ecclesiastes 8:11

We are all in a race of sorts.  The path is different for each one of us, but the end goal is the same.  To glorify Jesus in our works, make our way to heaven, and bring as many others with us as possible.  While it is true we should strive to do a good job when we take on a task, we must never forget that obedience is the important part over beating others out.  Sometimes “winning” is lifting others up on our shoulders intead.

Even the most swift, the strongest, the wisest, the smartest are not guaranteed a higher reward than the others.  Sin and circumstance can happen to anyone.  We are rewarded for obedience and spreading God’s word here on Earth.

But I saw that wisdom is better than might, though the poor man’s wisdom is despised and his words are not heard.

Ecclesiastes 8:16

Do you see this happening now?  When I look around, the regular, everyday people are being silenced and the wealthy voices are booming.  Small businesses are dying.  Conservatives are being canceled.  Anyone who speaks out against the narrative is ignored, and labeled a conspiracy theorist, bigot, racist, and any number of other derogatory terms.  Black people speaking out against the multi-million dollar corporation Black Lives Matter are called sell-outs, not really black, and so on.

The ‘poor man’ should remain quiet and not disrupt the information peddling of the wealthy.  Sound like anything going on around you right now?

The words of the wise heard in quiet are better than the shouting of a ruler among fools.  Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.

Ecclesiastes 8:17-18

The most difficult to hear voices are often the ones most worth listening to.  It is easy for us to get lost in the noise.  That is why it is more important than ever to speak boldly about our faith, and not be pushed down and silenced.

A battle with weapons that is being fought by foolish men is a battle that is sure to be lost.  Wisdom is necessary in every aspect of life.  Strategy, education and calm persistence are weapons of wisdom that Christians should have in their arsenal.

It takes many of us to stand together to form a strong force for Christianity.  Yet one screaming tyrant can destroy many good works.  Have you ever heard the phrase, “The squeaky wheel gets the grease?”  This happens time and time again, yet we as Christians still try to remain meek, inconspicuous and inoffensive.

A wise man’s heart inclines him to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left.

Ecclesiastes 10:2

I’m sure the irony of this verse will not be lost to you.

If the anger of the ruler rises against you, do not leave you place, for calmness will lay great offenses to rest.

Ecclesiastes 10:4

Considering our rulers are angry, this holds much meaning today.  Do not be afraid and silenced into submission.  If we remain calm yet unrelenting in our push for truth, we can change the course of our country.  Standing for what we believe in will remain a growing priority.  For now, speaking out only causes social discomfort and cancelation.  How long will we sit in silence?  Until the cost is far greater to regain the ground we have lost?

The words of a wise man’s mouth win him favor, but the lips of a fool consume him.

Ecclesiastes 10:12

In today’s climate, wise words seem to be frowned upon instead of favored.  Our culture pushes acceptance and support of even sinful things over truth in love.  Feelings over truth.  The Bible says though, that wise words win favor, and those who speak foolishly will be consumed.  In our era of instant gratification and aversion to suffering, this is a difficult test of patience.  We can take comfort in the fact that the Bible assures us we will be rewarded for being wise.

As Christians, we don’t want to offend with our words.  We are told not to say or do things that will push people away from a relationship with Jesus.  While I agree with that to an extent, luring people into a false relationship with gentle lies, or lies by omission does not earn the new believer a relationship with the Lord.  Once the truth comes out, (and it always will) they will see through the lies and think us hypocrites.  I have been there myself.

Bringing people into Christianity with truth – and in love is the only way to foster a lasting relationship with Christianity, and ultimately with God.

The final scripture I wanted to share today is:

Bread is made for laughter,

and wine gladdens life,

and money answers everything.

Ecclesiastes 10:19

This verse made me smile until I got to the part about money.  Money answers everything?  It means that money can have influence, and bend situations to our will.  Money is the earthly currency that speaks volumes.

How can we as Christians put our money to good use?  Tithing, supporting Christian businesses, and donating to Christian charities are all excellent ways to have our money work for God.  If you find a political candidate that you support who is a true Christian, and you have the means to donate to a campaign, give it a try.  I didn’t realize until this year how much money it takes to run for an office.

Altering the course of our nation will take time, effort, and a huge amount of patience.  The left has been patiently organizing, and planting seeds of propaganda for decades.  Our schools and our government have been drifting faithfully left while we Christians have been sleeping right through our Church Age.

Should Christians reinsert ourselves into the school systems?  Political offices?  Public forums?  Yes to all of these, and more.  We are not called to be silent observers as the world burns all around us.  We are called to be steadfast, truthful and loving.  Until we bring God back into society, darkness will always be pressing in to fill the absence left behind.

Are we already at war?

I see people casually saying that they are ready for civil war.  That they even want it.  They want someone to just say the word, and it will be, “Go time!”  I have not made the sacrifice to serve in a war.  I am not a veteran, but I have spoken to them.  I am grateful to them.  I hear them when they say that war is not something we as humans, or as Christians should desire.  Certainly, there are times when war is unavoidable and must be fought.  War should be a last resort.

There have been conflicts in history that did not take place on an official battlefield.  The Cold war, for example.  This time we are in feels monumental.  This is no ordinary era of conflict we are going through.  As I was discussing this with my husband, and how we dread the thought of civil war happening in our country, it dawned on me, we are already at war.  I believe we are in the middle of a Cold Civil War.  The battle is being fought on many fronts.  From something as seemingly insignificant as definitions of words, all the way to the presidency of the United States.

“… it dawned on me, we are already at war.  I believe we are in the middle of a Cold Civil War.”

The Cold Civil War.  This battle didn’t begin with one specific shot fired.  It crept up slowly from the periphery of our awareness.  It began as a slow burn, and the ramping up accelerated in 2020.  “They” counted on changing things, small things, that are too insignificant seeming to really complain about.  All these insignificant things have built up into a time bomb, and if it has not already exploded, it feels like the time is near.

Someone recently said that they don’t see how the two sides of the country can be united any longer.  With sadness, I now think they are right.  As time goes on, the divide feels greater than it did the day before.  It feels like divides as great as these are generally only wiped away after suffering some great tragedy.  Was the lockdown of 2020 the tragedy we will see as we look back in time?  Or are we barreling toward a more significant event?  Only time will tell.

Schools are a battlefield.  The minds of our children go to the victor.  From BLM at school, to comprehensive sexual education to social justice on all topics, the war continues on.

We as a society expect to drop our children off on the front lines at school, and expect them to be capable of resisting the bad and absorbing the good.  Without guidance from parents because we are prevented from knowing what is really going on.  They call a class health class, and what they really teach is how children should accept and affirm transgenderism, just to give one example. They start with the youngest learners who do not have the emotional capacity to process such ideas.  They are taught they can have medical procedures and vaccines and medication without parental consent.  Don’t worry, they school will take care of everything.

Science is a battlefield.  From conflicting opinions on the “science” of covid, to new and experimental shots to prevent it, to lockdowns that destroy businesses and people.  I have already written about masks, so I won’t go there again.  Schools now offer healthcare to our children without parents knowing.

Yet science says we are born male or female.  Science knows viruses are designed to survive by infecting.  Science has studied mRNA vaccines for decades, and there has not yet been one approved.  Science used to encourage questioning things, and open debate.  Now, if you follow science that disagrees with the narrative, you are labeled a “science denier,” or a”cov-idiot,” or any other number of lively things.

Even social media is a battlefield.  Something that began as entertainment and a way to casually pass the time, has turned into a propaganda machine where a few people are trying to alter the way we think.  Censorship is rampant, and this also applies to mainstream media.

Our businesses are a battlefield.  Our communities, our constitution, our vocabulary and definitions, and even our churches are all battlefields.  I believe we will look back on this period of time, and see we were in a slowly building Cold Civil War.  Until we stand together and boldly speak out against corrupt agendas, we will not win this war.  Until we stand together, and put God back into all of the places we have allowed Him to be erased, this war will not end.

One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Abuse? Gaslighting? Both! Male and female should be celebrated

It came as a surprise to me that Pelosi decided to remove gender related terms from the house.  It is now forbidden to use terms as mother, father, uncle, daughter in law, or anything else that hints at what gender someone might be.

This is complete insanity, and feels evil. God created us, his precious children, as male and as female.  There are numerous references in the Bible to this point.  Here is just one:

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

Genesis 1:27

Masculinity and femininity are beautiful, different, and should be celebrated!  It is so wonderful to be feminine.  I love the differences in the way I look, and in the things my body can do, like giving birth and feeding a baby. I like the way I think about things and respond to situations. I enjoy when a man holds a door for me, or pulls my chair out for me, and I can thank him for being a gentleman. I like to nurture my family and take care of my husband. The list goes on and on.

I desire and crave masculinity to balance me.  It is wildly attractive to me.  I sought that sort of personality in my past, and ended up in abusive relationships.  Two of them.  It is embarrassing to admit I fell for it twice, but there it is.  Masculinity does not automatically equal abusive though.  The two major differences between my past, and my husband are character, and being a Christian.

I now have found a protective, strong, Godly, intelligent, wise, and masculine husband.  I look around at people now, and wonder how my two young girls will ever find such a husband for themselves among all the genderless, wimpy, social justice warrior, pronoun choosing, fluid people.  My husband and I already pray for those little boys, who are probably already born somewhere, that our girls will grow up to marry.  We pray for their upbringing, and for their parents.

There are so many things I cannot do as a woman that my husband helps me with.  There are also many things that my husband cannot do without my help.  We are two parts of a whole.  We are helpers to one another.  We are a team.  We are one.

Speaking of my past relationship leads me to remember how mentally abusive it was, and it was forging ahead to becoming physical abuse.  This was evident to me when he had begun throwing items at me in anger.  This will be a blog for another time, but I wanted to point out that the way the “left” is treating the “right,” the way Democrats are treating Republicans, the way Liberals are treating Conservatives feels exactly like an emotionally abusive relationship.  I have been telling my husband this for some time, and I consider myself an expert on that topic.

Take a look at this graphic. Do you see any connections that can be made to our current social climate? Of course, there will be differences because this wheel is about relationships. But there are many parallels I can draw at a glance.

We are being gaslighted, repeatedly. If you aren’t sure what ‘gaslighting’ is, I would encourage you to look it up.  I will link an article here if you are interested.

What is Gaslighting?

It is so important we remember that God created us, with ALL of our differences, because we need one another. We are beautifully made, each individual one of us.  Some are male and some are female.  Any attempt to cancel that fact is abusive and goes against God.

Christians in politics

If it is the job of our government to represent us, but some people believe Christians should stay out of politics… how will the needs of those of us who are Christians be met? God wants to be first in every part of our lives. Part of my life is being an American. If we as Christians don’t put God-honoring actions into place, nobody else will do it for us. Where God is banished, evil fills the void.

I keep hearing the phrase ‘Christian Nationalism’ thrown around like it is some negative concept when you combine being a Christian with liking America. It is possible to love God, and love our country. I think it is silly that people think being a Christian disqualifies you from being interested, active, and educated in politics.

My husband and I were discussing this, and he decided to make a podcast about it. Take a listen if you want to hear more…

Double standards are no longer surprising

The Red House in Portland. If you have not heard of it – I would urge you to look it up and take a few moments to read about this situation.

What if you or I decided we didn’t want to pay our bills, and when eviction came, we put up barriers, closing off streets, recruited armed guards to set up booby traps for anyone who dates to enter our zone, and demanded to negotiate with officials?

Would we be viewed as innocent victims who are in need of help? As people who should be negotiated with at all?

We would be rooted out, arrested, evicted, and punished. That is what would and should happen. But not to ‘some’ people with the correct ideology who use all of the best buzzwords in the right city. They get to endanger their neighborhoods, the police and threaten other civilians. They expressed intent to cause harm to people who are not welcomed.

This just one example, out of SO many, of the double standards that are based on which side you belong to politically. Doug’s latest podcast talks about this. You can listen to it here:

The price of freedom

Today the price for freedom is taking a toll in a different way than it has in the past. We aren’t at war with an outside enemy as we have been to defend our country and our freedom. The battle is being fought much closer to home. Some businesses in Washington are opening despite the mandates, and are being fined heavily for such defiance. The support from the community is ongoing, but the fines are building. In the podcast for today, Doug talks about the small businesses that are bravely fighting for freedom, and the mounting fines they are facing.
